Pre-tour: Add a full two extra days to your London visit! Departing from West Coast, you will arrive the morning and have extra time to explore this magnificent city and enjoy our added tour features.

Day 1:  Depart USA.  Settle in and enjoy our transatlantic flight enroute to the exciting city of London England!  Meals are served inflight. (note with morning departure, pre-London extension.

 

Day 2:  London.  Welcome to England! Arriving early morning, we transfer to our centrally located hotel for a bit of refreshing, before setting out to see some of the worlds most famous landmarks including Royal Albert Hall, Kensington's splendid museums, Harrods incredible department store, the House of Parliament, Big Ben beside the River Thames, Westminster Abbey, the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace (pending schedule) and a view of it all (optional) from atop the famed “London Eye”!

 

Day 3:  London.  It's easy to move around the city and transportation is plentiful, we recommend the double-decker buses for great views! This morning we invite you to visit the underground hidden chambers that were the heart of Winston Churchill’s war room for a fascinating glimpse into the Battle of Britain. For those who want to do a little shopping, this is your day, take a stroll down Bond Street, you won’t be disappointed. But don’t stay out all day as this evening we invite you to join us for a play in London’s famous theater district.

 

Day 4:  London. What a glorious city! After breakfast, we recommend an excursion today into the outlying countryside to visit the medieval city of Ancient Bath and the mystical monuments of Stonehenge…set in the midst of rolling farmland, it is a sight never to be forgotten as you marvel at how it may have been created!

This evening…perhaps a bit of the brew as we invite you to visit a local pub, and with famous names like Old Wollop, Bishop’s Tipple, Potboiler’s Brew, Nutters, and the Willie Warmer, you are sure to find a taste you like!

 

Day 5:  London - Edinburgh Scotland. After breakfast this morning, we board our *short flight to the medieval capital of Scotland, Edinburgh! Our first day in the magnificent Scottish Highlands is yours to relax and settle in. Upon arrival we transfer direct to our local hotel. Later this afternoon, we invite you on a short tour of the city as the famed Castle of Edinburgh fills the skyline. This evening, we suggest a relaxing dinner at our hotel. *(note that travel between London & Edinburgh may is also being considered by train)   

 

Day 6:  Edinburgh.  After a hearty welcome breakfast, we invite you to explore the city at your leisure. Not to be missed is the Royal Mile, whose streets sweep through the center of town, and whose shops & boutiques along Princess Street are filled with wonderful treasures in addition to such grand sights as the Scottish National Gallery of Art and Royal Botanical Gardens. Visit Gladstone’s Land for a glimpse of 17th century life and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Her Majesty the Queen’s official residence in Scotland. This is also a good day for those bagpipers in our group to scour the city for that special addition to your treasure chest (ie…the real McCoy)! This evening we invite you to join us for our Grand Scottish Highlands Dinner…with dancers, bagpipers and of course…the Ceremony of the Haggis!

Day 7:  Edinburgh. When in Scotland…it is quite difficult to stay away from the Tartan factories…ohhhh those beautiful knits & woolens…there never is enough time for shopping! For those who want to perhaps try their hand at venerable St Andrews Royal Course or one of its sister courses, let us know and we will do our best to set it up! Imagine (even if you are not a golf fanatic) playing the greens where it all began! And this evening, you are in for an incredible treat as we invite you to the performance of a lifetime at Edinburgh Castle…for the famed Military Tattoo! Inside the courtyard of Edinburgh Castle…our evening is filled with the sights and sounds of this magnificent, never to be forgotten ceremony!

Day 8:  Edinburgh. This morning we offer a special trek into the magnificent Highlands of northern Scotland as we visit the lush green countryside and the land of Braveheart! Learn the secrets of Bonnie Scotland as we journey through quaint townships and Loch Lommond…and who knows…you just might see that famous old Monster of Loch Ness. And however would we forgive ourselves if we did not visit one of the worlds finest malt whiskey distilleries on our return!

Day 9:  Edinburgh Scotland - return USA.  Our grand adventure in the beautiful Scottish Highlands brings us to the end of our base trek. This morning it is time to bid a fond farewell to those guests leaving this magnificent country and her people and head for home with “a little Irish Scotch” in them!

  

Day 10:  Edinburgh – Dublin, Ireland. For those who may be heading home, you will have time to relax and catch up on last minute shopping before transferring to the airport. For those who are joining us in the beautiful Irish countryside…your adventure continues!  Our flight today takes us from Scotland into the magical land of Ireland. Upon our arrival, we transfer into the city. This afternoon, we invite you to join us for a bit of old-world sightseeing as we visit St Patrick Cathedral, Trinity College, the Book of Kells and more.

 

Day 11:  Dublin. After a leisurely breakfast (its great to have a couple of days to sleep in), take the day and explore this wonderful city. The Irish are warm & friendly and it is quite easy to find yourself deep in philosophical conversation with the locals, especially if you visit one of the cities many pubs. A great day of Irish shopping awaits you and this evening, we invite you to our welcome dinner!

 

Day 12:  Dublin - Waterford. This morning we depart for the southland, traveling through the very heart of Ireland via the marble city of Kilkenny. Today’s journey will take us into history as we explore charming townships and meet the locals. Late in the day we reach our destination for the evening…one of the most well known art cities in the world…the township of Waterford! Tonight, settle into our comfortable hotel and relax.

 

Day 13:  Waterford – Killarney. This morning you will want to be up early and if schedules permit following breakfast, we will visit the beautiful Waterford Crystal Showrooms! Delight in the breathtaking designs and magnificent sculpture of this glass art…and you may even want to consider a piece or two to take along home! After spending all of our money in Waterford…a magical day is in store as we head out through Youghal (where Moby Dick was immortalized) and follow the Sunshine Coast into County Kerry. Upon arrival late in the day, we check into our local hotel for a little R&R…and perhaps another peek at that Waterford Crystal!

Day 14:  Killarney. After a leisurely breakfast…we have a special treat in store at “The Castle” that’s right, Blarney Castle of County Cork! Today you will find out who truly has the gift of the gab…as we plant our lips squarely on “The Blarney Stone”. After our festive morning tour, enjoy the balance of your day at leisure,

see the sights and have a bit of fun with the townspeople. This evening, we invite you to an Irish treat of dinner & song!

Day 15:  Killarney. Pack away a grand breakfast this morning. A wonderful day awaits as we begin our tour of The Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. A full day of spectacular scenery - along winding cliffs, with beautiful lakes & beaches set amidst granite mountains - offers an incredible glimpse into the natural beauty of Ireland! We enjoy lunch enroute. This evening is at your leisure.

 

Day 16:  Killarney – Ennis/Shannon. After a grand time in one of Ireland’s most enchanting regions, we travel northward to the township of Adare and Limerick, visiting St Mary’s Cathedral & King John’s Castle. Continuing along the coast we visit the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher towering high above the seas as we reach County Clare Shannon. Tonight, schedule permitting, our farewell dinner, with  “a bit of Irish toasting”!

 

Day 17:  Shannon Ireland – return USA.  Relax a bit this morning as we prepare for departure. Homeward bound via comfortable wide-body major -carrier jet service with meal services enroute. A magical land and wonderful people, we leave with a touch of the Blarney in all of us!
